外面的天空好大

今天,太陽好大。Sun was beaming down across the streets, parks, and the rushing pedestrians everywhere. But, I was anchored to a desk, pushing the virtual pencil like most of the workforce everywhere. I was depressed. The sky outside was so blue, vast, and inviting. Yet, I was trying to earn my pay and hope to provide a stable wager for my family. As if a retired warrior looking out to the battledield and have nothing but distant memories.
Then, it hit me. Like a run away train, the reality hit me. Even though the freedom is just over yonder, but I was way to cowardice to inch myself over. I am officially institutionalized. Like a domesticated lion, I mindlessly stared out and found no joy. As if the blue sky is no longer part of my soul.
Has that part of myself died? Where is the passion that I once had. Day after days of demoralizing pencil pushing, I am dwelling dangerously close to my breaking point. I long for freedom, adventures ,and excitments. But, the fire seemed to be extinguished long ago.
Why the sudden dive to blackness? I don't know for sure. All I am certain is that I am getting tired of getting for granted. My wife is expecting me to bend my ways for her now and this is a frightening notion. I got things to do, places to go, and people to see. I will have to say, the box stops here with and I don't feel like compromising, no more!!!
